Just remember the first weeks of school are the time for our preschoolers to get used to the environment and the teachers. If that is the case, please let us know the first week and we will gladly bring your child to the kindergarten gate (our normal pick up and drop off area) and you can sign them out so you don't have to come back. Thanks for helping us keep the children safe!Įvery Thursday we will be sending home a gray folder with your child’s work, flyers, important information, etc. For safety issues, all the fruits as well as hot dogs need to be cut into small pieces. We will provide mats and sheets for them. The children will need to bring their own blanket to use during nap time. Snacks will be provided for all children twice a day (morning and afternoon). Make sure to fill the ziplock bag with this extra clothing and include it in the child's backpack on the first day of school.

A ziplock bag to provide for extra clothing in case of any accidents during the year will be provided in your packet on the meet-the-teacher night. Please make sure the children have everything marked with their names on all their items. During the meet-the-teacher night there will be more information. The preK-pick up and drop off area is located in the kindergarten area. Please know that it is also good for new parents to go to breakfast as it allows them to meet other parents in the cafeteria as well as to relax a bit from the separation stress that can happen when we leave our children on the first day of school. As parents go to breakfast, we will take the children into the classroom, allowing us an easier transition to our classroom. The flagpole will be from 8:45am-9:00am.įollowing the flagpole on the first day of school (July 31st), from 9:00am-10:00am, you will be welcome to enjoy breakfast right at the school cafeteria. We will have a sign that says PreK with us and that's where children will be dropped off that day. Please know that on the first day we will have a flagpole and you will be welcome to come to our school and we will meet you at the flagpole area.

We will have some folders to go home with you with information for you to keep and other information that needs to be filled in and returned when school starts. We consider the environment the third teacher and we carefully arrange it in a way that provokes critical thinking and creativity. During this time you will meet with us and get to see our classroom. Our meet-the-teacher night will be July 27 from 5:00pm-6:00pm. Our environment is full of possibilities and wonders and we can’t wait to meet your children!
